Part 6 · Chapter 54

The Ari's Text

This is the meaning of “Open your eyes and see,” since there are three times SAG in the AHP, which is Pekach [open] in Gematria, with the Kolel, and after them comes the phase of Einayim. This is the meaning of “Open your eyes,” since these three EKYE in the Einayim are the phase of EKYE in Yodin, Gematria 161, the same number as Eynecha [your eyes] with the Kolel. This is also the meaning of “and see our desolation,” for here was a great desolation and a revoking of the kings.

Inner Light

This commentary hasn't been matched to individual seifim yet — items are shown in reading order, and the number beside each one counts the notes themselves, not the seifim of the Ari's text.

Not matched to a seif

1“open Thine eyes, and behold,” because in AHP there are three times SAG, which is Pekach in Gimatria, with the Kolel, and after them comes Behinat Eynaim. This means that the prayer is to straighten the order and make the YHV, which are the Taamim, above, and the SAG in the Eynaim, which is the Behinat connection of the two Heys there come down past the place of the Taamim. It is so because after the Nekuda attached to the opening in the Eynaim comes down, and the opening remains without the connection with the lower Hey, the Eynaim open and form an opening. This is the meaning of “and after them comes Behinat Eynaim,” meaning after the Taamim implied in the Gimatria “open”.
2“and behold our desolations,” for here was a great desolation, and annulment of the Melachim. This is because through the returning of the order to its place as in the previous item, the lower Heywill come down and the YHV will return up. Hence, the entire great desolation, which occurred because of the breaking of the vessels, will be corrected with the entire Tikun Kelim we have in Olamha Tikun today.
