The Ari's Text

Hence we will now explain what was renewed then, on that eve of Sabbath after midday: when he was created, only his head and throat were in the Garden of Eden, as mentioned, while the rest of his body was in this world; but now he entered wholly into the Garden of Eden, and the worlds rose in this manner: Zeir Anpin rose to the place that is now the place of Arich Anpin, and the Nukva of Zeir Anpin rose to the place that is now the place of Aba, and Beriah rose to the place that is now the place of Ima, and Yetzira to the place of Zeir Anpin, and Assiya to the place of Malchut, the Nukva of Zeir Anpin; the first four of Assiya rose, for such is the measure of the Nukva of Zeir Anpin, four Sefirot only, and the remaining six Sefirot of Assiya rose to the place of the first six of Beriah as it now is. Indeed, Aba ve Ima of Atzilut too, and all that is above them, likewise rose above their degree, in this same order, and there is no need to elaborate on them.

1And the worlds rose in this manner: ZA rose to the place that is now the place of AA, and the Nukva of ZA rose to the place that is now the place of Aba, etc.: it has already been mentioned above that these sortings were from below upward, for the reason that the very choicest is always sorted first; hence ZON first sorted, from the MAN of the Vav and the point, the discernment of coarseness of phase two, which is the level of Neshama, and hence it is reckoned that the Nukva rose to the place of Ima, and ZA to the place of Aba, and the coupling took place in the place of Ima, which is phase two and Neshama. And know that the level of the coupling is always reckoned according to the state of the Nukva, and not according to the state of ZA, since the MAN are found in the Nukva, as is known. And after this, ZON sorted from the MAN of the Vav and the point the coarseness of phase three, which is the level of Haya — this being the second aspect that was added in the fifth hour of the sixth day. And it is then reckoned that ZA rose to AA, and the Nukva, who is the possessor of the MAN, rose to the place of Aba, that is, to the upper AVI who are called Aba, since the level of Haya is in the place of the upper AVI, as is known. Hence it is found that the Rosh of the soul of Adam HaRishon, which came out in the place of Ima, that is, in the place of YESHSUT who are called Ima; and the Guf of the Neshama, which is Yetzira, rose to the place of ZA.
And the lower half of Tifferet of the Neshama, which are the first Hey of Assiya, rose to the place of the Nukva of ZA. And the legs of the Neshama, which are ZAT of Assiya, rose to the place of the first six of Beria.
