The Ari's Text

Therefore this Ibur [conception] lasts seven months, corresponding to the seven lower [Sefirot] of Atik. Yet of the upper half of the Sefira of Hesed of Atik Yomin they have no attainment whatsoever, by any possibility — all the more so from there upward. Therefore these seven months are not complete; and this is the secret of what our sages said: whoever bears at seven, bears at incomplete months — for every Ibur of seven is drawn from here, and they are incomplete for the reason mentioned. And from this internality of the Mochin of ZON [Zeir Anpin and Nukva], too, the souls of the righteous were drawn and made. This is the secret of those great righteous ones who were all born at seven incomplete months, like Moses and Samuel and Peretz and Zerach: for all these souls are drawn from the seven of Atik that are within the seven of the Galgalta [skull] of Arich. Understand this.

1The Hesed of Atik Yomin — they have no attainment whatsoever, by any possibility: For the Hesed of Atik clothes in the Keter of AA, which is concealed like the Radla [the unknown head] itself, as explained above, page 694, Part 8, Inner Observation, item 9, the passage beginning “And ZA.” For it is reckoned as a root only for the discernment of the Hesed of AA, and nothing at all for the other Mochin, and all the more so for ZA.
