The Ari's Text

*The fourth discernment is the one called a minor. For at first she was a discernment of a rib [Tzela], a complete measure behind the Chazeh [chest], with no Partzuf of ten Sefirot in her yet. Then the verse said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him." Then He took this rib and built it into a complete Partzuf at his back, as will be written, God willing.

1Tzela [rib], a complete measure behind the Chazeh: “A complete measure” means that she has in her the coarseness of phase one, for then she serves him for the level of HGT, which is the main level of ZA, as is known. Therefore she is now regarded as a complete measure, as above, in the adjacent item. And Tzela [rib] means the discernment of the screen in ZA, upon which his whole level stands — from the language of “the ribs [Tzelaot] of the house.” But you shall understand that up to now she still does not rise in name for herself, but is subordinate to ZA, for she serves him as the discernment of a screen, to raise reflected light and draw down his level, as above. But for Malchut herself, there is still no building at all yet.
