And these 288 sparks were corrected by the name AB [seventy-two], through its letters and its words, for seventy-two words and 216 letters add up to 288. And this is the meaning of, “Behold, the staff of Aaron of the house of Levi had blossomed,” etc., for the staff of Aaron is the name AB, the secret of Hesed, the side of Aaron; and “of the house of Levi” is the 216 letters, the secret of Gevura, the side of Levi. Together they are 288. This is the meaning of “had blossomed.”
