Part 12 · Chapter 15

The Ari's Text

And behold, after the birth of ZON, they were pushed by the force of the birth, as mentioned, and descended below, to Beria, beneath those two lower joints of the NH of Atik; and those two joints became for them in the aspect of breasts, and they nursed from there in the secret of the breasts of an animal, as mentioned.

1They were pushed by the force of the birth, and descended below, to Beria, beneath those two lower joints of the NH of Atik: For these MAN of ZON are from the ZA of Nekudim that expanded, at the time of their reign, down to BYA, as is known — for this too was the cause of their breaking and their fall into BYA. And behold, although now, at the time of the Ibur, they were sorted and rose from BYA to Atzilut, up to the belly of AVI, and were corrected there in the phase of Atzilut, this whole correction was only from the phase of Nefesh, which was then entirely included in the phase of AVI, in the secret that the fetus is the thigh of its mother. But at the time that the very coarseness of ZA was discerned — that is, after the return of the bottom Hey to the eyes at the time of birth, when ZA was discerned as a guest there, as the ARI wrote above — for then his coarseness that was in him from the start was renewed, so too the phase of the coarseness of BYA, from which he had not yet been fully purified, was also revealed in him. And therefore, at the time of birth, meaning when he separates from Ima and comes to his own place and degree, it is found that he was necessarily compelled to return again to BYA, except through his nursing from the two lower thirds of the NHY of Atik, which likewise returned and descended to BYA after the coupling, as is known — for they joined with the Malchut of AA, which is corrected from the second restriction, and received the power to return to Atzilut and to nurse from the breasts of Adam, which are in the place of Bina. There is no need to elaborate here, for this has already been clarified at length above, page 637, the passage beginning “And it is fitting.” And on page 712, answers 68, 70, and 71 — see there.
