*And behold, it is known that when the time of birth comes, then the source of the woman opens, and there is in it blood of birth, as our sages, of blessed memory, said: “It is impossible for the opening of the womb to be without blood.” And the reason for this, as is known, is that the male seeds the whiteness, and in the first three days of absorption the drop of whiteness is clarified, as said above in the secret of “your travelers and your lodgers, you have scattered,” etc.
