Thus it is found that, since their root is of Vavs, each Vav in its filling [being] Vav-Alef-Vav, which is in gematria thirteen, therefore both the hairs and the whitenesses were thirteen. And since their root is four aspects, namely the two ears and the two eyes, therefore they were divided into four corrections for each side. Understand this — whether with respect to the hairs or with respect to the whitenesses.
