Also know that the measurement of the places is not as it appears to your eyes, to arrange them truly one above the other, for the order of the ranks is not according to whether the place is upper or lower; for there is a place below that is called upper, and a place above that is called lower. For the place beneath the mouth is lower than all of them, and yet it is among the upper places, because it is close to the mouth, and it receives the light and the breath that issues from there, more than several upper places, because it is close to the mouth. And so too that which is close to the eyes, and so too that which is close to the nose, for illumination issues from them as well.
