And this is the secret of "And these are the kings," etc. For we have already taught you that the hairs came out from the clarification of the kings and those Gevurot, and through the apertures of these hairs the light goes out to the kings below AA, to give them life, for the light is diminished in its going out from the narrow passage of the apertures of the hair, as above. For the hairs are the true correction for giving life to the kings, and then through these hairs they had the power to receive the light, and not before; only from this fourth correction of the Rosh of AA, from which the hairs came out, as mentioned, then they had the power to receive the light.

1The hairs are from the clarification of the kings and the Gevurot, etc., for the hairs are the true correction for giving life to the kings: As was said above, that the hairs are the branches of AB, that is, that GAR [first three] of AB that could not clothe in Galgalta and Mocha Stimaa [the concealed brain], and went out outward in the discernment of a returning surrounding light, and this is the discernment of the direct light itself. And the hairs are the discernment of the reflected light and the vessels of AHP that rose from BYA, which completed the ten Sefirot of vessels for the sake of drawing this light of AB. But since the light did not clothe in the hairs, for it departed from them after the coupling, therefore they became, in the secret of Gevurot; and the Butzina de Kardinuta [the lamp of darkness] is also included in them, as above. And this is what he says: “For the hairs are the essential correction for the clarification of the kings.” For Hochma is called the light of Haya, which is the secret of the essential lights of revival, and there is no drawing of Hochma in Atzilut except through the hairs, as will be said further on.
Thus the essential revival of the kings depends only on the hairs.
