Part 14 · Chapter 104

The Ari's Text

And how AVI went out from this coupling — it is that it was already explained above that this coupling was not needed except for the need of their Mochin and NHY alone; therefore the coupling of the mouth sufficed for them, for AVI are always included in the Mazal, Tikkun 8 and 13 of the beard, for they hang in the weighing until the navel.

Inner Light

Not matched to a seif

1This coupling was not needed except for the need of their Mochin and NHY alone, etc., for behold, AVI are always included in the Mazal. Meaning, that since they have the Mochin of SAG in their fixed state, and they clothe upon the HGT of AA, where the hairs of the Dikna [beard] of AA surround, behold, they receive the Mochin of Katnut [smallness/infancy] from the hairs of the Dikna of AA. And therefore they have no need of the two couplings, of Katnut and of Gadlut [greatness/adulthood], that apply in every degree (as above, the passage beginning “Coupling”). For the discernment of the VAK of AB they receive, together with their clothing upon the HGT of AA, from the surrounding lights of the hairs of the Dikna, which are called Mazalot. And therefore nothing is lacking to them from the side of their fixed state except the GAR of lights of AB and the NHY of vessels of AB, that is, only the Gadlut alone, and one coupling suffices for them. And what he writes, “AVI are always included in the Mazal,” the intention is both at the time of Katnut and at the time of Gadlut: for in Katnut they receive the VAK from them, as above; and likewise in Gadlut, when they rise to AA and attain the level of AB, this too is by force of their inclusion in the two Mazalot, which are the discernment of their Daat, as is written above at length. Thus, both in Katnut and in Gadlut, they are included in the Mazalot. And therefore he says, they are always included in the Mazal.
