And here too we say: then he delights in this delight and daintiness. And this delight is for the need of the coupling, to bring out Mayin Dechurin from above downward. For just as there is delight in the souls of the lower righteous, for the Mayin Nukvin, so too delight is needed to take pleasure and bring out Mayin Dechurin, in the secret of the wine that gladdens. And from our flesh we see that joy and pleasure increase desire. And then, at that hour when he stands in the dainties of kings, in the illumination of his six extremities, and sits in his crowns, namely the inheritance of his father and his mother, then the holy covenant performs its action and brings out blessings to the Matronita, and all the streams go to the sea.

For seemingly one must ask: since the measure of ZA himself is the discernment of HGT and covered Hassadim — for at the time of the coupling of face to face he takes Hassadim, while the discernment of the gladdening Gevurot, which is the secret of the illumination of Hochma that completes the Gevurot and makes them grow, in the secret of the wine that gladdens — behold, that is the portion of the Nukva, for she takes the Gevurot, as is known. If so, how does the Zohar say that ZA delights in this delight and daintiness? For it has been explained that daintiness is the discernment of the sweetening of the Gevurot, in the secret of the coupling of the two crowns, whence comes every delight and joy — and this is the measure of the Nukva, who delights in the souls of the righteous that received the Gadlut [greatness/adulthood] of the Gevurot through her MAN [Mayin Nukvin]. And upon this the ARI answers: that just as the Nukva delights through the completion of the souls of the righteous, by means of the MAN of her gladdening Gevurot, so too ZA must necessarily receive from the Nukva the discernment of joy and delights from her five Gevurot of Gadlut, which are called the wine that gladdens; for otherwise he could not bring out blessings to the Nukva, which are the discernment of the Gadlut of the souls of the righteous, as above. And the depth of the matter is that it was explained above that this coupling, in which ZA and the separated Nukva couple face to face, is made first, before the coupling, in the discernment of ZA himself with the Nukva that is in his Guf [body], which is the secret of his Atara [crown]; and afterward he bestows the entire level of his coupling to the separated Nukva, in the secret of “she takes Hassadim and she takes Gevurot.” And this is what he concludes, “at that hour when he stands in the dainties of kings and sits in his crowns, namely the inheritance of his father and his mother, then the holy covenant performs its action and brings out blessings to the Matronita, and all the streams go to the sea” — namely, as explained, that at first the coupling was made in himself, with the Nukva that is in his Guf, and the illumination of Hochma, called the dainties of kings, is revealed within his own NHY; and afterward, “all the streams go to the sea,” meaning that afterward the Nukva takes all the discernments of the gladdening Gevurot from ZA, and ZA remains in the discernment of covered Hassadim alone; and understand this well.
