The Ari's Text

*And all this matter you will understand in the Zohar, Parashat Beresheet, in what is said on the verse "And the Lord God built the rib" — that it is the matter of the sawing; and afterward "and He brought her to the man." From here we learn that Aba and Ima must bring the bride into the jurisdiction of the groom, as it is said, "I have given my daughter to this man." From here onward, her husband comes to her, for it is her house, as it is written, "and he came to her."

1That AVI must bring the bride into the jurisdiction of the groom, etc.; from here onward her husband comes to her, for it is her house. For through the ascent of ZON to the chamber of AVI the Hod was included in the Netzah, as above in the adjacent item, whereby she is able to receive from the Tifferet of Ima, as above. And this is regarded as the jurisdiction of the groom, for the Netzah is the discernment of ZA and not the discernment of the Nukva, since the Nukva is only the discernment of the Hod, as above (page 1723, the passage beginning “And already”). See there. And because of this she receives from Ima and not by way of ZA, Ima too being the jurisdiction of the groom; and she is the discernment of the upper of the upper to the bride, for the bride, who is the separated Nukva of ZA, is an offspring of ZA, and ZA is her upper one and not Ima. However, this applies only to the building of the rib, that is, to complete the posterior of the Nukva, for which she is obliged to receive the five Gevurot of Gadlut [greatness/adulthood] from Ima. However, from here onward her husband comes to her, for it is her house, as it is written, “and he came to her.” For after she has been completed in the building of the posterior, she returns again to the discernment of a point beneath the Yesod, and rises as MAN [Mayin Nukvin] a second time for the Mochin of the anterior, of MA; and then she is no longer included in the Netzah but in the Hod alone, which is her own discernment. And this is regarded as her house, which is the measure of the Hod, and not the house of the groom, as previously, at the time of the building of the posterior.
