However, Bina and the Gevurot and the lower half of the Daat and the upper half of the Daat — these remain clothed within the NNH of Tevuna. And they too departed from ZA; but they did not remain in the aspect of Makifim like the others, in order to shine from there, from the aspect of the impression that rises also in the aspect of sleep, as mentioned by us in the matter of the Tefillin. And these were clothed within the Nukva, as will be stated afterward. And afterward, they return to depart from the Nukva, and return first to join with Hochma and the Hasadim, also in the aspect of Makifim together with them. And to do this, another coupling is needed in Aba and Ima.

1Bina and the Gevurot and the lower half of the Daat and the upper half of the Daat, etc., they departed from ZA; however, they did not remain in the secret of surrounding light, etc., from the discernment of the record etc. Meaning: that even at the time of his ascent as MAN there remained in him the discernment of a record from the Mochin that ascended, and this record receives illumination from the Mochin that ascended as MAN, which is reckoned as surrounding light. And he says that the discernment of the Binot and Gevurot that departed and rose as MAN do not illuminate for the record that remained in ZA in the discernment of surrounding light. And the reason is that at the time of the ascent of ZON as MAN, ZA was included in Aba and the Nukva was included in Ima; and at that time Aba is found entirely MA, that is, Hochma of MA like AA, and Ima entirely BON. For by means of the bending of the head of Atik to the place of AA, where Ima stands, Ima received the GAR of Hochma of BON, and through this there joined to her also the VAK of Hochma of BON that are in the discernment of Aba. And therefore it is found that the Nukva, who is now included in Ima, receives from her the Binot and Gevurot, that is to say, the whole discernment of BON. And ZA, who is not included in Ima, has nothing at all of the discernment of the Binot and Gevurot, but only of Hochma and Hesed, which are the discernment of Aba. So that Hochma and Hesed of Aba and of Ima, that is, the right side of both of them, which are MA, and which are now included in Aba alone — behold, they are reckoned as surrounding light upon ZA, since he is included in Aba. But the Binot and Gevurot of both of them, which are now included in Ima alone, clothe now in the Nukva, and ZA has no portion in them.
2They return to depart from the Nukva, and they return first to join with Hochma and the Hassadim, in the secret of surrounding light together with them as well; and to do this another coupling is needed in AVI. Meaning: that after the matter of his inclusion in AVI in the secret of the ascent of MAN has been completed, he requires a special coupling for the need of the birth, that is to say, for the need of the coming of the Mochin to their place, so that it will be in equality with the discernment of the MAN that ZON raised to them; for by this is measured the measure of the level of the Mochin that ZON require, as written in the preceding parts. However, ZON do not receive all the Mochin at once, immediately, for at first he receives the discernment of the Tzadi of Tzelem [image], which are only the discernment of VAK of the Mochin, while GAR still remain upon him in the discernment of surrounding lights, as is known. And this is what he says, “that the Binot and Gevurot return first to join in the secret of surrounding lights.” Rather, afterward he receives their Mem and Lamed as well, in the secret of inner ones, which are the GAR within them, as above in Part 12.
