And then these mochin, called the soul of ZA, were in the aspect of Mayin Nukvin to Bina; and Aba and Ima coupled, and corrected Malchut without the agency of ZA. And the matter is that Leah was already corrected back to back before Rachel, for first the illuminations of Leah come out, and afterward the illuminations of Rachel. And the two of them are still separate, even though both of them receive their illumination through ZA.

As written above, that there is no beginning to the correction of Rachel except after ZA has attained Mochin of Neshama; for then Leah is reckoned as the great Nukva, who clothes him from the Chazeh [chest] upward, while the small Nukva, who is Rachel, clothes him from the Chazeh downward. And then the two of them are separate, for so long as there is not in ZA anything of the discernment of Mochin of Haya, he must be divided into two Partzufim, since the Mochin of SAG do not suffice to bestow the discernment of GAR to the place that is from the Chazeh downward, as above (page 1730, the passage beginning “And the explanation”); see there.
