Part 15 · Chapter 74

The Ari's Text

And there are Gevurot in the Achoraim of the male, and there are also Gevurot in the mochin, and both are sawed off and given to her. (It appears from this that the inner aspects are the mochin, in which there are also aspects of Gevurot of BaN given to her, and likewise in the vessels from without. And he remains in MaH. And see in another place well the matter of the Gevurot and the embrace with the right and the left, and the coupling, and how many kinds of Hasadim and how many kinds of Gevurot there are — from the Ari, of blessed memory.)

Inner Light

This commentary hasn't been matched to individual seifim yet — items are shown in reading order, and the number beside each one counts the notes themselves, not the seifim of the Ari's text.

1And there are Gevurot in the posterior of the male, and there are also Gevurot in the Mochin, and both are sawn off and given to her. For they are the five Gevurot, and they too are divided into GAR and VAK [six ends]; and while she is with ZA back to back, she does not have even the VAK of the Gevurot, for then their posteriors are inward, and the Gevurot of VAK that are from the Chazeh [chest] downward are attached to the AHP of the male and are therefore regarded as belonging to the discernment of the male, and not to her own discernment. Only at the time of the sawing are the two discernments of the Gevurot, both of VAK and of GAR, sawn off from him and given to the Nukva. And this is what he says, “there are Gevurot in the posterior of the male,” namely the discernment of the VAK of the Gevurot that are in the NHY of ZA, which are called posterior; “and there are also Gevurot in the Mochin,” namely the discernment of the GAR of the Gevurot; “and both are sawn off and given to the Nukva” — as explained, that at the time when she is back to back, even these Gevurot of VAK are not regarded as belonging to her.
