And if so, you will now see how much the sin of Adam caused — bringing down the worlds to such a deep descent: for it is impossible for us now to raise the worlds even in the afternoon prayer of the Sabbath, except [to the state] they were in then, in the addition to the Sabbath, in the afternoon (bein ha-arbayim).
