Not that the Concealed Brain itself gives power to AVI, for his level is very great. But the matter is, in what is explained above, that all the revelation of the Concealed Brain is in the thirteen Tikkunei Dikna of AA; and then, through the arousal of the lower Yesod of Arich, the Concealed Brain is aroused, and then the power of the Concealed Brain is drawn into the beard. And there are there the two Mazalot: the eighth, and the thirteenth; and the eighth is the aspect of the Tifferet in the beard, and the thirteenth is the aspect of the Yesod, included of male and female. And then the eighth Mazal, which is male, called the Daat within it, bestows to the thirteenth Mazal, which is female; and afterward that drop is given to AVI, who are influenced by these two Mazalot. And then, when ZON are in the secret of Ibur in AVI, the Mazal of the beard is aroused in its clothing within AVI, and then they bequeath Mochin fit for birth to the heads of ZA and his Nukva. And soon we shall explain that also the Netzah and Hod of Atik Yomin are aroused, and see there.

1Not that the Mocha Stimaa [the concealed brain] itself gives power to AVI, etc., for all the revelation of the Mocha Stimaa is in the thirteen corrections of the Dikna [beard] of AA. Meaning, that the Mocha Stimaa of AA is sealed in a membrane, and this membrane is not breached even at the time of the coupling, and all its revelation at the time of the coupling is from the discernment of the brain of the air, which is the discernment of the Lamed of Tzelem, which bestows also to the discernment of the Lamed of Tzelem that is in the Mocha Stimaa — meaning the Bina of the Mocha Stimaa, and not the Hochma itself — and this illumination of his spreads into the thirteen corrections of the Dikna of AA. And this is what he writes, that the Mocha Stimaa does not bestow of itself to AVI, since its level is very great, and the Hochma within it is not revealed in Atzilut, except what it receives from the brain of the air and bestows through the Dikna to AVI. 2And the eighth is the aspect of the Tifferet in the beard, and the thirteenth is the aspect of the Yesod in the beard. Meaning, that the eighth Mazal includes all twelve corrections of the Dikna, and is regarded as the discernment of the male, which is Tifferet. And the lower Mazal, VeNakeh, likewise includes all twelve corrections of the Dikna, and is regarded as the discernment of the Nukva that is in the Dikna — meaning, the discernment of the screen in the Yesod that receives the coupling from the male. And the reason he names the male and female of the Dikna by the name Tifferet and Yesod is that it revolves around the discernment of the ascent of the Dikna to the discernment of Daat of AA at the time of their entry into the discernment of internality, when they are regarded as the discernment of the five Hassadim and the five Gevurot — where the eighth Mazal is the discernment of the five Hassadim, whose totality is called Tifferet, and the thirteenth Mazal is the discernment of the five Gevurot, whose totality is called Yesod or Malchut, as is known.
3The Mazal of the beard is aroused in its clothing within AVI, and then they bequeath Mochin fit for birth to the heads of ZON. This matter has already been explained at length in Inner Observation, Part 13: that there is no discernment of coupling for AVI except through the MAN [Mayin Nukvin] from the discernment of the hairs of the Dikna [beard]; for upon their ascent to the GAR of AA, which is the HGT of AA that became HBD, they cannot couple upon the MAN of the Tifferet of AA, since there is no discernment of the bottom Hey of the first restriction there; rather, the discernment of the Dikna that surrounds the Tifferet of AA is what becomes the discernment of MAN and Daat for AVI, since it is, from its root at least, the discernment of the Malchut of the first restriction. And therefore, through the illumination of the Mochin, the discernment of the Iburim and the second restriction descends from them, and the bottom Hey is revealed in them as MAN, and then AVI couple upon them and bring forth the level of AB, and bestow from these Mochin to ZON, and they too become fit for the coupling of birth. And this is what is said, “The Mazal of the beard is aroused in its clothing within AVI” — meaning, in their very interior and internality, and not in the aspect of surrounding as at the time of permanence; and this is at the time of their ascent to the place of the GAR of AA.
