*And this is what is said in the portion Acharei Mot, page 61, and this is its language: 'Come see, it is written, "And a river goes out of Eden to water the garden." This river spreads to its sides at the time that this Eden couples with her in a complete coupling, etc.; then it is written, "While the king was on his couch, etc.", and the upper and the lower are blessed, etc.' — end of his language. Explanation of the matters: that Bina spreads in her six extremities to crown the pleasant son; and this is when the upper coupling is complete in the two kinds of bounty.

1Bina spreads in her six extremities to crown the pleasant son, and this is when the upper coupling is complete in the two kinds of bounty — which are the discernment of blessing and the discernment of endurance, as the ARI writes below. For from the permanent lower coupling of AVI, only the discernment of endurance alone is drawn, in order to give life to the worlds; however, at the time that AVI ascend to the place of the GAR of AA, and they couple upon the MAN that is in the Mazal, then it is regarded as the complete coupling of AVI, and from there the discernment of blessing too is drawn, namely the blessing of seed — for after ZON receive those Mochin, they become fit to give birth, as is known. And therefore it is regarded that in this complete coupling of AVI there are two kinds of bounty, namely: blessing and endurance. For every upper discernment includes also the one below it, and therefore also the discernment of endurance — whose meaning is the lights of Hassadim attributed to the lower coupling of AVI — comes also in the upper coupling.
And these Mochin from this complete coupling, when they are drawn to ZA, are regarded as the expansion of the VAK of Bina within the Daat of ZA. For the Mochin of the permanent coupling are from the discernment of the GAR of Bina, namely from the level of the upper AVI who clothe upon the HGT of AA, whose Keter is the throat of AA that went out from the upper Eden, which is the concealed Hochma; and nevertheless they are regarded as GAR and the discernment of Rosh, since the GAR of Bina suffer no restriction whatsoever, as is known. And from them no Mochin of birth come to ZA, for there is no Mochin of birth except from the level of AB; but only the discernment of Mochin of endurance and sustaining alone are drawn from them, and in that state ZA and Rachel are regarded in the aspect of back to back, from the Chazeh and below, since their backs are her house — for revelation can only be to the discernment of their HGT, which does not need the illumination of Hochma, but not to their posterior vessels, namely NHY, which need revealed Hassadim in the illumination of Hochma; and these are not drawn from the discernment of the GAR of Bina but from the discernment of the ZAT of Bina, as is known, and these ZAT of Bina are now lacking a Rosh, being under the Rosh of AB. However, at the time that AVI ascend to the GAR of AA, and receive the Mochin of AB like AA, then the ZAT of AVI too are in the discernment of Rosh like the GAR, and therefore ZON can now receive from her six extremities of Bina her discernment of GAR, which is the discernment of the illumination of Hochma, and then the NHY of ZA are revealed in the illumination of Hochma, and he can couple with Rachel face to face to give birth to souls, as stated above at length. And understand this well, that the discernment of the Mochin of Neshama, ZA receives from the discernment of the GAR of Bina; but in the Mochin of Haya he can also receive from the ZAT of Bina. And therefore he now has two kinds of bounty: for the bounty of blessing, for the birth of children, he receives from the ZAT of Bina, and the bounty of endurance and sustaining he receives from the GAR of Bina.
