Therefore, when the upper Emanator wished to correct them, He needed to correct the separation that was in them at first, and to unify them and bind them together with a strong bond, which is by their being in the manner of lines. For then there is Hesed and Gevura, and Tifferet decides between them. And likewise in HBD, and likewise in NHY. And they conduct themselves with decisions, in measure and in weight.

1A strong bond together, which is by their being in the manner of lines: For through the second restriction that was made for the emergence of Nekudim, when the bottom Hey rose into the Nikvey Einayim of SAG of AK, and the bottom Hey joined with the first Hey in the secret of the partnership of the quality of mercy with judgment — then it is found that the bottom Hey, which is Malchut, rose and was included in every single Sefira up to Hochma, which is called Einayim, and Hochma too was corrected in the female, called Nikvey Einayim. Now this ascent of Malchut made a left line in every single Sefira up to Hochma — that is, the impression of the bottom Hey that each Sefira received is reckoned the left line of the Sefira, and the essence of the Sefira itself is reckoned the right line remaining in it. And from this it is found that all ten Sefirot were unified and bound together in two lines, right and left. Afterward, when the coupling was made upon the screen and the coarseness, and the new level called the look of Einayim into the AHP went out there, the middle line came about, and it decided between the two lines, right and left, in every single Sefira, and joined them into a true one; and by this a strong bond was made in the ten Sefirot, so that all ten Sefirot are tied and joined to one another through the three lines.
And it is known that only GAR [first three] of Nekudim went out with the above completeness from the Nikvey Einayim, but ZAT of Nekudim could not receive from there, and so they went out only in a single line, one beneath the other, in separation — since Malchut was beneath them all, and had no bonding with them at all, as in the first restriction. And it is known that this was one of the causes of the breaking of the vessels, for on account of it front and back broke, and not even the discernment of Katnut [smallness/infancy] remained in them, as it did in GAR. Therefore the first correction of these ZAT is the correction of the lines within them — that is, to join the bottom Hey with the first Hey, so that through this Malchut becomes included in every single Sefira, and binds them in the secret of three lines, as mentioned above.
