And there is another reason, with the above: that in the First Temple, the upper Ima, called the upper Hey, expanded until the second Hod of ZA; and indeed, Malchut would suckle from her, for there is the place of Malchut. But in the Second Temple, Bina expanded only until the first Hod of ZA alone, which is the aspect of the present Gevura, as above.

1In the Second Temple, Bina expanded only until the first Hod of ZA alone, which is the Gevura of the present, etc.; therefore she is called the bottom Hey. He adds a reason to the above, for above he explained the reason according to the clothing of ZON upon AVI, and here he explains it according to the nursing of the Nukva from Bina. And he says that in the First Temple, when Bina expanded until the last Hod, which serves as Hod for the sake of the Nukva as well, the Nukva is found nursing in her very own root from Bina, for the root of the Nukva is in the Hod of AA and in the Hod of Bina, as above on page 1691, the passage beginning “Both of them.” See there. Which is not so in the Second Temple, where Bina expanded only until the first Hod, which, with respect to Jacob and the Nukva, who receive the Mochin from them, are these NHY that became HGT, as above; and this Hod is found to be, with respect to the Nukva, in the discernment of Gevura. And it turns out that the root of the Nukva herself, which is essentially the discernment of Hod, has no nursing from Bina. Therefore she is reckoned as the bottom Hey, since she has no nursing from Bina, as explained.
