1And the sorting began from the phase of the Keter of ZA that is in the seven kings: There is no difficulty from what is known, that the way of growth is from below upward, that is, from Malchut to Keter, so that the sorting should have begun from Malchut and not from Keter. However, there is here a reversed relation between lights and vessels: for only with lights is it reckoned that the lower one enters first, and afterward the upper ones — that is, first one acquires Nefesh, and afterward Ruach, and so on, until at last one acquires the light of Yechida. But in the correction of the vessels it is the opposite: the upper ones grow first, and afterward the lower ones — that first the vessel of Keter is sorted, and afterward the vessel of Hochma, and so on, until at last the vessel of Malchut is sorted, as elaborated in the previous parts. And see above, page 73, the passage beginning “And such is the order.”
