And it is known that when the four white ways alone are drawn along the back of the head until the head of Zeir Anpin, the four locks of hair are also drawn with them, for the thirteen locks of hair are also divided in the manner of the division of the thirteen whitenesses. Thus it is found that at the back of the head four locks of hair and four whitenesses are drawn, and they are the four hundred worlds mentioned, in the gematria of the Shin-Kuf of "shekel" [three hundred]. For the Shin-Kuf are the hairs that are woven, and within them are perforations, which are the whiteness and the white aspects. Therefore it is alluded to in the word Shin-Kuf. And this is the secret of "and he put sackcloth (sak) upon his loins." Understand this. And this is what is said, "current with the merchant" (over laSocher), in the secret of "circling and trading" — it is the skull that surrounds (soheres) the brain, and through it the hairs pass upward. This is "current with the merchant." Understand this. And the remaining nine whitenesses are drawn on the sides of the face.
