And it is found that all the discernments of the judgments are hairs, and all of them are from the NH, where the Gevura is the recognition of the judgments, as above. And when they rise in the secret of the reflected light, which are the secret of the Gevurot, they strike three places, and they are the three heads of AA: the skull, the air, and the brain. And they mingle in all of them, and from all of them go out the thirteen bright strands [Chivaret], and the thirteen strands [Nimin], and the thirteen corrections of the beard, and all of them are from the aspect of the NH mentioned, except that according to their mingling in these three heads their names change, since they mingle with the lights of the three heads and come out together. For although all is from the aspect of the NH, as mentioned, nevertheless the thirteen bright strands are also from the lights of the skull, and the thirteen strands are in the air, and the thirteen corrections of the beard from the brain, for also from the three heads go out the aforementioned lights as well.

1The judgments are hairs, and all of them are from the NH, etc. And when they rise in the secret of the reflected light, etc., they strike three places, etc., and they mingle in all of them: And so it says above, that in the place of the discernment of the ears, the hairs of the Rosh are mentioned, which come out by force of the ears, and from there is their root, and from there they spread; and therefore one must remove the hair from over the ears. See there. And this is by force of the internality of NH that is in these ears, which is the discernment of the two testicles of the male. In the left testicle is hidden the power of the coarseness of Malchut from restriction one, for she is found in all the left line of ZAT of Atik; and just as she was hidden in Mocha Stimaa [the concealed brain] by force of the Gevura of Atik that clothed in it, so she was hidden in the left ear, by force of the Hod of Atik that clothed there. However, here she is reckoned as judgments, since they are from the Chazeh of Atik downward, and from the heat of those judgments the seed is cooked, which is the secret of the Hassadim that are revealed in the Yesod of Atik below them, as above, where the place of the coupling is in the middle line, which raises the reflected light and clothes the level of the Hassadim, as is known. And you find that the power of the Malchut of restriction one mingles her illumination also in the middle line, for by her force the seed is cooked, as above. Even though the screen and Malchut of the middle line are from restriction two, which is called the Atara of the Yesod of Atik (as above, page 1305, item 23) — and this is what the ARI says, that her illumination is revealed, even though she herself is hidden in the Rosh of Atik, as above (page 1327, item 72). And the reason for the need for the illumination of this Malchut is because the screen of restriction two is only an offspring of the screen of restriction one, and therefore the branch could not exist if it did not have a constant illumination from its root. And understand.
Now, the hairs in their root are the power of the judgments hidden in the internality of the ears, which do not receive sweetening and coupling, since they are hidden in the left line, as above, and no coupling was made upon them. However, the reflected light that rises from the coupling in the Atara of the Yesod of Atik, from below upward within the forehead of AA, draws out an illumination from the internal NH that is in the extremities, which are in the two ears above it, since it is the arbiter between the extremities; and so the power of the judgment hidden in the ears mingles also in the reflected light that rises. And since this power of judgment comes from the hidden Malchut, upon which the sweetening of the coupling was not made, she is reckoned as the residue of the brain — meaning, that they are not received there within the illumination of the Mochin — and therefore they breach and go out through the apertures of Galgalta, outward, and are revealed upon Galgalta in the secret of the hairs of the Rosh.
However, since the coupling itself, from its beginning, also included the illumination of the Malchut hidden in the ears — that is, from the discernment of the cooking of the seed, as above — therefore the discernment of the residue of the brain goes out also from the discernment of the middle line as well, for it received within it forces from the secret of the heating of the seed. And therefore hairs go out also from the correction of the Mochin that is in the membrane of the air, and so the hairs were born and went out by force of all three heads, in the secret of the thirteen Nimin [strands], as will be said before us. Thus the root of the hairs is only in the internal NH of the ears, from the Malchut of Atik hidden there, and her branches are the hairs from all three heads. And remember this.
And this is what he says: “However, in the place of the discernment of the ears, the hairs of the Rosh are mentioned, which come out by force of the ears, and from there is their root, and from there they spread, and therefore one must remove the hair from over the ears.” That is, as explained: for the root of the hairs is in the NH of the internal ears, for the hairs that went out from the three heads in the secret of the thirteen Nimin are only her branches, since she assisted there in the secret of the heating and the cooking of the two testicles of the male, as above. And therefore, at the time of prayer, one must remove the hair from over the ears, so that their power should not increase by force of their touching their root; for then the prayer would not be accepted whatsoever. And understand this, for the secret of the prayer is the discernment of the raising of MAN [Mayin Nukvin], and since this Malchut, which is in the internality of the NH of the ears, is not fit for the secret of the coupling, as above, therefore, if her power is revealed in the hairs at the time of prayer, it follows that he raises MAN also from the discernment of this Malchut. And then even the MAN that is from the sweetened Malchut is likewise disqualified, for they rise together. And this is the secret of why the prayer is not accepted — meaning, that he will not draw a coupling by force of his prayer. And understand this well.
And this is what he says: “And when they rise in the secret of the reflected light, which is the secret of the Gevurot, they strike three places, which are the three heads of AA, Galgalta, and the air, and Mocha Stimaa, and they mingle, etc., thirteen Chivaret [bright strands], and thirteen Nimin, and thirteen corrections of the Dikna [beard], and all of them are from the discernment of the aforementioned NH, except that according to their mingling in these three heads their names change” — that is, although the root of the hairs is from the internal NH of the ears, which come from the two heads, Galgalta and Mocha Stimaa, while they have no connection at all with the third correction, the membrane of the air, from which the three heads of AA were corrected, as above (page 1328, the passage beginning “pure wool”). Nevertheless, since the two testicles of the male shone in the secret of the cooking of the seed, therefore their power is found mingled in the reflected light that rises from the screen that is in the Atara of the Yesod of Atik, and for this reason they strike in all three heads and make in them the residue of the brain, in the secret of the judgments called hairs, and in the secret of the Chivaret upon which they take hold, as will be said before us.
