And then the offspring emerges, including male and female: the male from MaH of BaN, and the female from BaN of BaN; and both of them are Gevurot from BaN. And this is the root of Cain, for he emerges from the name BaN, whose beginning is the name SaG, greater than the name MaH. And Seth came out, his male and his female, from the Hesed and Gevura of Aba, which are MaH of MaH and BaN of MaH. But Abel came out in halves: half from MaH of MaH, and half from MaH of BaN; and his female half from BaN of MaH and half from BaN of BaN. They divided into two twins; and that one which was of BaN of BaN was called the extra twin, since she is from the aspect of Cain; therefore Cain was jealous of her. Understand this.

That is to say, that after this, when ZA goes and couples with the Nukva face to face for the birth of souls, behold, the souls that are from the discernment of Cain, which are all of them from the discernment of MA and BON of Ima — it is found that these males emerge from the discernment of MA of BON, and the females from BON of BON, that is, from the two aforementioned discernments that are in the first intercourse alone. However, for the souls that have a portion in the MA and BON of Aba, ZA bestows upon the Nukva from the discernment of MA of Aba as well. However, one must not err and suppose that the souls of the discernments of Cain actually emerge by means of the vessel and the Rucha of the first intercourse, for it is known that no woman conceives from the first intercourse, as above in Part 9. Rather, the intent is that these souls come from those two
discernments, MA and BON, that came in the vessel and the Rucha; but certainly they require a new coupling.
And you must know that after the sawing, ZA remaining entirely MA, that is, MA of AVI, and the Nukva entirely BON, that is, BON of AVI, it is likewise reckoned that at the time of the coupling for the need of the birth of souls, the male souls are born from the very substance of the building of the Partzuf of ZA, being either from the MA of Aba within him or from the MA of Ima within him; and the females are born from the very substance of the building of the Partzuf of the Nukva, that is, either from the BON of MA within her or from the BON of BON within her. And understand this well.
