For before this, the Achoraim of both of them were entirely judgments; and being judgments, they were stuck together, for they all had one wall for them. Therefore He cast a deep sleep (Durmita) upon him, and the mochin departed from him, as above, which is called sleep. And then his soul, which is the mochin that departed from him, was drawing to him Hesed and vitality to that measure of vitality (Kista deChayuta) that remained within him, in the body, at the time of sleep, from the Hesed of Bina; and it was spreading within him. Then the judgments and the Achoraim were departing and clinging to the back of the Nukva, and were separating one from another. And this is, "Hesed came and separated them." And this is the secret of "and in her place mercy and Hesed are immersed."
