And they are these: the first is the aspect of the illumination of that Yesod of Aba in Rachel, for the sake of correcting the building of her Partzuf; for this reason those Mochin enter her, to make her great and make her a Partzuf, as mentioned. And this is done in the secret of gifts to the poor (Matanot LaEvyonim), for Rachel is called "poor and needy" (ani ve'evyon), and the Yesod of Aba, called the Righteous (Tzadik), gives her charity and gifts. And this illumination is sustained through our giving gifts to the poor below, and through this commandment its counterpart is made above.
