Part 16 · Chapter 229

The Ari's Text

And let us explain the secret of Assiyah. For since another screen was added in it, from Malchut of Yetzirah, therefore the lights were diminished, for its AA is also three within three, as it was in Yetzirah. And the reason is that since it is the aspect of the middle line — for Keter is the aspect of the middle line — and it necessarily takes the two lines, right and left, therefore AA never has in it less than three within three. But Aba, which does not have this reason, was therefore diminished and became a point — a world of less than three within three. But Aba, which does not have this reason, was therefore diminished and became only a single point.

Inner Light

Not matched to a seif

1Assiya, etc. its AA is also three within three. Aba etc. was diminished and became in the secret of one point alone. And indeed Ima and ZON of Assiya, etc., only three within three. For the world of Assiya is the discernment of Malchut. And therefore they also lack the discernment of the middle thirds of Yetzira, and it is found that AA is only in the discernment of Malchut, except that because of the correction of the lines in it, he is regarded as NHY. And there is also there the first discernment of AA, which relates to the garment of Atik, as above in the adjacent item. And Aba in it is only the discernment of a point alone, that is, Malchut; and YESHSUT and ZON lack the HGT of Yetzira, and there remains in them only NHY.
