1There are no MAN whatsoever that are corrected at the first time: That is, as said above, that at the first time they rise in the discernments of the records included in the Katnut of the upper one, in the discernment of MAN, to the one above the upper one, as said above in the adjacent item — that the records of the Nefesh, Ruach and Neshama of the righteous are included in the Katnut of ZON in the discernment of MAN, and when ZON rise in MAN to AVI to attain the Mochin of Gadlut, they take with them the MAN of the Nefesh, Ruach and Neshama of the righteous, for before the coupling of the Gadlut of ZON, the AHP of ZON and the Nefesh, Ruach and Neshama of the righteous are one discernment, included one in the other. It follows that the coupling made upon this MAN in AVI is necessarily also made upon the Nefesh, Ruach and Neshama of the righteous, just as upon the AHP of ZON, since they are included together. And yet, this coupling corrects nothing for the Nefesh, Ruach and Neshama of the righteous, but only completes the AHP and Mochin of Gadlut for the sake of ZON, as said above — that after this coupling, when the first discernment of the MAN, which is the AHP of ZON, has been clarified from them, then ZON descend with the second discernment, which still remains without any correction — namely, the Nefesh, Ruach and Neshama of the righteous — to its place, and then the coupling is made upon them in the place of ZON, as said above. Thus this MAN of the Nefesh, Ruach and Neshama of the righteous received upon it two couplings: the first in AVI, that is, together with ZON, at the time ZON received their Mochin of Gadlut; and the second within ZON below. From the first coupling in AVI, nothing was depicted of them, and nothing was corrected of them — only in the second coupling of ZON. And this exact order applies to the MAN of all the Partzufim, in the manner explained above regarding ZON, and AVI, and AA. This is what he says: “There are no MAN whatsoever that are corrected at the first time; rather, at the first time they rise in the discernment of MAN, and afterwards, at the second coupling, they are corrected, and from them come out creatures and souls.” Understand this well.
