By this you will thoroughly understand this appellation, Nekeva [female], from the word Nekev [orifice]. The matter is that the whole essence of Rachel was made only from the force of the lights of Itra de Gevura [the crown of judgment], called — in the Idra of Naso, p 141b — Botzina de Kardinuta [the hardened candle], which crossed and pierced one orifice in the back of the Guf [body] of ZA [Zeir Anpin], opposite the Chazeh [chest], and came outside; and there the structure of Rachel was built, she being the last Hey of HaVaYaH, and then she was called Nekeva — meaning, Nekev-Hey [the orifice of the Hey]. For all the lights of this lower Hey are given to her through the said orifice, and this is the principal reason for this appellation, Nekeva: she is the light that passes through a Masach [screen], and the power of its illumination is weakened, diminished, and enfeebled from what it first was.
