And it is for the reason that the two upper joints of the NH of Arich ascend there, to the place of the Chazeh of AVI, at the place of her breasts, to make there a phase of breasts for the woman, in order to nurse her son afterwards. And when the NH are divided into the phase of a number of joints, and not of complete measures, as was said in the first phase, it follows that what remains of Arich for ZON is the four joints of the NH, a third of the Tifferet, and the whole Yesod. And it is known that the Yesod is nothing but the measure of a single third of the Tifferet.

1The two upper joints of the NH of Arich there, in the place of the Chazeh of AVI, in the place of her breasts, to make there a phase of breasts: One needs to remember here all that was explained above regarding the ascents of the degrees of AA and AVI for the sake of the coupling of ZON (see page 924, the passage beginning “And this is what he says,” and all that follows), and it was explained there that NHY of AA ascended to the discernment of HGT, and HGT ascended further to the discernment of his GAR, and AVI also ascended with the HGT of AA and attained the discernment of the GAR of AA that had been there before. Study it there well. There is no need to elaborate here. And it is found now, through the above ascent, that the six Sefirot of AA, which are HGT NHY, now became, at the time of the coupling for the sake of ZON, ten complete Sefirot in RTS [Rosh-Toch-Sof]. However, no vessels were added here; rather, the HGT NHY themselves expanded and became the ten Sefirot. And this matter of expansion was already explained by the ARI with regard to ZA at the time of his Gadlut, that the two upper and middle joints of each of HGT ascend and become the discernment of Rosh, and the bottom joint of each of HGT joins with the upper joints of each of NHY, and they now become HGT, and the two middle and bottom joints of each of NHY remain as the discernment of NHY.
And this is what he says: “Immediately at the beginning of the Ibur, the blood of the woman’s menstrual cycle ceases from her Yesod and ascends upward to the place of her breasts, in order to turn into milk, and this is for the reason that the two upper joints of the NH of Arich ascend there to the place of the Chazeh of AVI.” Namely, as explained, that at the beginning of the Ibur of ZA, the matter of the ascents of the degrees of NHY to HGT and HGT to GAR precedes him, and these expand to Rosh, Toch, and Sof, as above by the VAK of ZA in Gadlut. And it is found that the upper joints of Netzah and Hod of AA ascended and joined with the bottom joints of Hesed and Gevura, and from all of them together the discernment of the HGT of AA was made. And since this whole ascent pertains only to AVI alone — for AA himself already had, even before this, the discernment of his own Rosh, which now ascended to the discernment of the Rosh of Atik, and Atik is even further above, as explained there — therefore we regard this ascent as being in the name of AVI, for the ascent of the two thirds of each of HGT to Rosh caused AVI to acquire a Rosh from AA, and likewise the further ascents. And therefore those upper two thirds of NH that joined to become new HGT in place of the old HGT of AVI are the discernment of the breasts of AVI, and from them come the Mochin of nursing of ZA.
And behold, the lights of NHY are the discernment of judgments, and are called blood, as is known. And it is found that after the upper thirds of NH ascended and became, in AVI, the discernment of HGT, they became the discernment of Hassadim, and are called milk. And it is regarded that the discernment of blood ascends from the Yesod of Ima, which are judgments, and her discernment of the menstrual cycle ceases, for now they turned and became HGT, which is the discernment of milk. And the reason for the division of every Sefira into thirds, and likewise the matter of their joining in the manner mentioned, will be explained below.
2The four joints of the NH, and a third of the Tifferet, and the whole Yesod, etc., and the Malchut at the end of the bottom joint of the Hod is a seventh to him: For here begins the discernment of the nursing of ZA, who eats through his Tabur, and it is known that the matter of nursing reveals the discernment of the HGT of ZA, and therefore here is revealed the matter of the inclusion of NHY in HGT, drawn by force of the above-mentioned ascents of the degrees. And therefore ZA now nurses from the discernment of the VAK that remained in NHY after the ascent of the two joints to HGT. And this is what is said, that four joints of NH remain, where the middle joints are the discernment of the HGT of ZA, and the bottom joints are the discernment of the NHY of ZA, except that one should also reckon with them the discernment of the middle line of NHY of AA, which are the bottom third of Tifferet and the whole Yesod, for from there come all the illuminations, as above. And from this discernment of nursing the Malchut is regarded in the secret of a seventh. However, the upper joints of NH of AA that ascended and became HGT — ZA does not now receive anything from them, for they are regarded as the discernment of the GAR of NHY of AA, which he does not receive except at the time of Gadlut. Only that after his birth he nurses from them by means of AVI, in the secret of the breasts, but in his Gadlut he receives them themselves, without clothing in AVI, as explained in its place.
