*And let us return to explain the reason why two kinds of Shema were needed, for the sake of the one coupling of the morning prayer, unlike the other couplings. And this is the secret of the exile, for in the time of the destruction there are no Mochin above except at the time of prayer alone, and afterwards they depart so that the blemish will not reach them. And there is also another reason, for we do not have the power to sustain them all day, but only at the time of prayer alone.
