  1. 1 And all these levels enter in every Shema, of these four aforementioned kinds of Shema, and in this matter they are all equal: And you need to remember all that was explained above, in the matter of the Mochin of nursing, how they are drawn little by little, over the course of nine years and one day, at which point he is fit to ascend as MAN to the coupling of AVI, for the sake of the Mochin of Gadlut [greatness/adulthood]. And it was explained there: four principal times. The first is the two years of nursing, when he acquires only the discernment of the Katnut of nursing, which is the NR [Nefesh-Ruach] of nursing. The second is the ascent of MAN for the second Ibur [impregnation], after the two years of nursing, when he attains the completion of the ten vessels, namely the bringing down of the bottom Hey from the Einayim and the return of AHP to the degree. The third is the entry of NHY of Ima into his HBD and HGT, at which point he is found in the season of the Peuton [minors], which is completed in four years and one day after the two years of nursing — when in years three and four the two lower thirds of NH of Ima enter into HB of ZA, and in five and six the lower two thirds of NH of Ima descend into Hesed and Gevura of ZA, and the middle two thirds of NH of Ima are drawn into HB of ZA. And on the first day of the seventh year, the Atara of the Yesod of Ima is drawn into Daat of ZA, and then he has a partial Daat, and is called by the name Peuton, whose purchase is a valid purchase in movables, which is the discernment of VAK. And the fourth time is nine years and one day: in the seventh year and one day, the upper third of Netzah of Ima enters into Hochma of ZA; and in the eighth year and one day, the upper third of Hod of Ima enters into Bina of ZA; and in the ninth year and one day, the Yesod of Ima enters into Daat of ZA. And once the upper three thirds of NHY of Ima have clothed in him, he is fit to ascend to the coupling for the sake of the Mochin of Gadlut, called the second Ibur of Mochin. Study it there well, the matter in its reason.
And know, that the two first times, which are the two years of nursing and the second Ibur for the completion of the vessels, are called the internality and the surrounding lights of the Mochin of Katnut of Ima: the two years of nursing, which are the discernment of Nefesh, Ruach, and Tzadi [צ] of Tzelem, are reckoned as the internality of Ima; and the second Ibur, which completes for him ten vessels, namely returns to him AHP, are the discernment of the surrounding lights of Lamed-Mem [לם] of Tzelem of Ima, namely the discernment of the GAR of nursing. Indeed, these GAR of nursing are themselves reckoned as two: for the completion on the side of the vessels alone is reckoned according to the Mochin of Ima, since the matter of raising AHP to the degree is the discernment of the Gadlut of HG of MaNTzePaCh, which is attributed to Ima, as is known. In such a way that the internality of Ima means the Katnut of HG, which is the discernment of the bottom Hey in the Einayim; and the surrounding lights of Ima are the discernment of the Gadlut of HG, meaning after the bottom Hey has descended from the Einayim to its place and AHP have returned to the degree. And there is a second distinction in these Mochin of nursing, from the discernment of the five Hassadim within them: the VAK of the five Hassadim are called the internality of Aba, which enter in four years and one day after the years of nursing, as explained above (page 1154, item 89, and page 1166, items 123, 124 and 125), which is the season of the Peuton. And the GAR of the five Hassadim are called the surrounding lights of Aba of Katnut, which are the discernment of Lamed-Mem of Tzelem of nursing on the side of Aba, which enter in the three years after the season of the Peuton, together with the upper three thirds of NHY of Ima, as explained (page 1161, items 126, 127, 128 and 129), namely until nine years and one day, at which point he ascends as MAN to attain the actual GAR of Mochin, as explained (page 1156, item 92).
Also know that all these times mentioned are only at the time of the first Atzilut of ZA; but as regards the Gadlut of the Mochin that are returned to ZA every day, through the prayers and the commandments, these do not need time, as above (page 1172, item 138). And accordingly you will understand that here there is mainly to distinguish only between two Iburim of the second Ibur: the second Ibur for the completion of the vessels, and the second Ibur for the actual GAR of Mochin. In the second Ibur for the completion of the vessels, whose time is after the two years of nursing, all the Mochin of VAK are drawn at once, which are the surrounding lights of Ima of Katnut, namely the Gadlut of HG; and the internality of Aba of Katnut, which is the drawing of the VAK of Hassadim until the season of the Peuton; and the surrounding lights of Aba of Katnut, which is the drawing of the GAR of Hassadim, in the three years after the season of the Peuton; and also the VAK of Ima of Gadlut, which are the discernment of actual Gadlut, namely the discernment of Neshama and Mochin, only they are the discernment of the NR of Neshama, and therefore they too are drawn together with the second Ibur for the completion of the vessels — for NRNHY of Ruach are equal to the discernment of the NR of Neshama, and therefore they come in a separate coupling from that of the vessels, as explained above (page 1157, item 97): “for after the two years of nursing, two discernments enter together, which are the VAK of the Mochin of Gadlut, etc., this one enters and that one exits” — and see there, items 98 and 100.
And with this it is understood that the levels that enter in every Shema, of the four discernments of Shema, are entirely equal. For even in the two Shemas that are only to make her a vessel, which are the Shema upon the bed and the Shema of the sacrifices, which are the discernment of the second Ibur for the completion of the vessels, whose time is after the two years of nursing — even in them all the Mochin of Katnut are necessarily drawn, which are the surrounding lights of Ima and the internality and surrounding lights of Aba of Katnut, namely the GAR of HG, and the VAK and GAR of the five Hassadim, and also the actual VAK of Ima of Gadlut, which are the NR of Neshama — for all these are drawn together with the second Ibur for the completion of the vessels, as above.
And behold, the first second Ibur has now been explained well, whose time is after the two years of nursing, and it includes all the Mochin of the seven years and one day, from after the two years of nursing until nine and one day, which are: the surrounding lights of Ima of Katnut, and the internality and surrounding lights of Aba of Katnut, and the VAK of Ima of Gadlut. And behold, there is yet another second Ibur for the sake of the GAR of Mochin of Gadlut, whose time is after nine years and one day, which is after the receiving of all the Mochin that come from the first second Ibur, which begin from the surrounding lights of Ima of Katnut and are completed in the VAK of Gadlut of Ima, as above — through which he becomes fit to ascend to the true second Ibur for the sake of the GAR of Mochin, which are the Mochin of birth. And know that this second Ibur is made only in the Shema of Yotzer Or, for then he already has all the preparations necessary for this Ibur, namely that he has already received all the aforementioned Mochin of the first second Ibur, and therefore he is then fit to ascend as MAN for the second Ibur of the Mochin of birth. Unlike the other three kinds of Shema, where he does not yet have all the Mochin that come from the first second Ibur, and therefore he cannot ascend as MAN for the second Ibur of the Mochin of birth. Understand this well.
However, even in the Shema of Yotzer Or, which is the second Ibur for the sake of the actual GAR of Mochin, nevertheless ZON do not receive them all at once, for at the time of the birth of the Mochin he receives from them only the VAK of these GAR, through the Tzinun Yarchin [cooling of the thighs] of Tevuna, in the secret of “the Torah endures only in one who kills himself over it,” meaning that Tevuna descends in the secret of “crouching,” and bestows upon ZON only the discernment of VAK alone, as explained above (page 1128, item 4, and in the Inner Light there); and this matter applies also to the birth of the GAR of ZA, as will be said in its place. And accordingly it is found that even in the Shema of Yotzer Or, only the discernment of the VAK of Gadlut of Ima reached ZA, as in the Shema upon the bed. Only the difference is very great: for in the Shema upon the bed, and likewise in the sacrifices, and likewise in the evening, these VAK of Gadlut of Ima are found to be the entire height of his stature that he receives through the ascent to that coupling of AVI, and he has nothing more to receive from them. Unlike in the Shema of Yotzer Or, where in truth the entire discernment of NRNHY of GAR of ZA emerged in this second Ibur, only now, at the time of the Shema, he is not fit to receive from them anything but VAK; but afterward, in the blessing of the Patriarchs, he receives their remainder, namely the actual GAR. In such a way that the emergence of these GAR, which he receives while standing in the blessing of the Patriarchs, had already occurred at the time of the Shema of Yotzer Or, only they remained, at the time of their birth, in AVI, and ZON were not fit to receive then anything but VAK, and they receive the GAR in the blessing of the Patriarchs, as explained. And the difference between the Shema upon the bed and the Shema of the sacrifices and the Shema of the evening will be explained further on.
And behold, it has now been explained well that the levels received by ZON at the time of the Shema are entirely equal in all four kinds of Shema; only there are differences in the discernment of the preparation of ZON prior to the ascent of MAN, and likewise in what they receive from that coupling afterward. For in the Shema upon the bed and likewise the Shema of the sacrifices, ZON are found lacking all preparation, and need the first intercourse to make a vessel. But in the Shema of the evening, they do not need to make a vessel, for this still remains with them from the illumination of the coupling of the day. And nevertheless, this preparation does not suffice for the coupling of the second Ibur for the GAR of Mochin that comes after nine years and one day, but only for the stature of VAK of Gadlut alone, as will be said further on; and therefore they receive no more than this even afterward. Unlike in the Shema of Yotzer Or, where they already have a preparation as if after nine years and one day, and therefore ZON are fit to ascend to the second Ibur of actual GAR; and even though he does not take from there at first anything but the VAK of GAR, nevertheless he receives their remainder at the time of standing in the blessing of the Patriarchs, as above.
