And this is what is said in Parashat Bereishit: "When Abraham came, the created [Bara] returned to become a member [Ever], and this member was revealed." And the matter is that through the influence received in Abraham, which is the Hochma of ZA, which is the secret of the first Hesed, from this the member of Yesod is corrected and is revealed in ZA. And since through this Yesod ZA couples with the Malchut called MA, therefore Abraham is called "Ever MA" [the member of MA], for he causes the joining of Yesod with Malchut.

1The created [Bara] returned to become a member [Ever], and this member was revealed etc., which is the Hochma of ZA, which is the secret of the first Hesed; from this the member of Yesod was corrected. “Bara” means the discernment of darkness, in the secret of the verse “and creates darkness”; and it also means the discernment of externality, as in “go out and teach outside.” And it is known that the discernment of the screens is in the Yesod, as written above in the words of the ARI (in this part, item 77), which is the secret of Benjamin, who is included in the Yesod of the male; and it was explained there that in the secret of the coupling with the Nukva there is made in it radiance and sparkle, whence the souls of the righteous are born in the discernment of GAR [first three]. See there in the Inner Light. Thus the discernment of the darkness of the Yesod is reversed and becomes reflected light, which draws the light of Haya to the souls of the righteous; and this is the secret of the Hesed that is revealed at the mouth of the membrum, that the Hassadim are revealed in the illumination of Hochma. And this is what he says, “and this member was revealed,” meaning that the Hassadim were revealed by means of it. And this is the secret of the acronym of Abraham: Ever, MA — to hint that through the level of AB of the new MA the light of Haya is revealed in the Yesod, and it becomes a member of eighteen, nine from above downward and nine from below upward, to bestow the souls of the righteous upon the Nukva. And this is what he says, “And since through this Yesod ZA couples with the Malchut, which is called MA, therefore Abraham is called Ever MA” — that is, as explained, that the Yesod of ZA is called MA, after the new MA, and therefore in the coupling there is hinted Ever MA, as above.
