  1. 1The Mochin of the NHY of Aba, in the secret of “and the Lord God built the rib”. This does not contradict what is written above and in all the places, that only the NHY of Ima emerge from ZA and enter the Nukva at the time of the sawing, whereas the NHY of Aba remained in the secret of surrounding lights upon ZA (as above in this part, item 71 and item 118 and item 133. And item 142 and item 151. And item 160 and item 176). For in general it is never conceivable that there should be the discernment of the NHY of Ima by themselves, without the NHY of Aba, as the ARI wrote above (page 950, item 156), and these are his words: “The matter is that all these discernments are drawn from the coupling of AVI, and if so, in each one of these five, which are NRNHY [Nefesh, Ruach, Neshama, Haya, Yechida], there must be a part of AVI.” See there. And likewise in several places he says and warns not to err in the wording at the time when he says that there are there only the NHY of Ima alone, that the meaning is without the NHY of Aba; for AVI are always in an unceasing coupling, and they emerge as one and dwell as one, and no discernment whatsoever is drawn from them except through the coupling of AVI; and if so, there are necessarily two discernments of NHY there. And accordingly it turns out that although he says explicitly above, page 1740, item 103, and in item 105, that those RIU which she receives while they are back to back are nothing but the discernment of Bina, a female, which are NRN, nevertheless he says there that there is there the discernment of Ben-Yamin, male power — thus there is there also the discernment of the NHY of Aba, which are male power.
And this matter has already been well explained above, in the matter of the return of AVI and YESHSUT to one Partzuf at the time of the coupling: that AVI together are regarded as the right and as the discernment of the male, and YESHSUT together are regarded as the left and as the discernment of the Nukva; and then the Yesod of Tevuna is regarded as the discernment of the male. And this is what the ARI wrote above, page 1068, item 122: “that the discernment of the Yesod are always males, whether in Aba or in Ima.” See there. Thus at the time of the coupling AVI together are regarded as the discernment of Aba, and YESHSUT together as the discernment of Ima. And this is what the ARI says here, that the discernment of the NHY of Aba too enter the Nukva at the time of the sawing — that is, the NHY of YESHSUT that are included in Ima, from which the discernment of Benjamin is drawn, which is male power.
And one must not err and interpret here that the intention is upon the Hochma and Hesed that are clothed in the NHY of Ima, that is, the discernment of MA of BON of Ima, which at the time of the clothing of the Mochin in ZA are found interchanged, in that the Hochma and Hesed of Ima clothe in the NHY of Aba, and the Bina and Gevura of Aba clothe in the NHY of Ima, as above (page 1763, item 140). And now, at the time of the emergence of the Mochin from ZA, the Hochma and Hesed of Ima are found returning and clothing in the NHY of Ima; and since these Hochma and Hesed of Ima were in the NHY of Aba at the time of their clothing in ZA, the ARI calls them by the name NHY of Aba even now. But this is not true, for the ARI says explicitly above (in this part, item 142) that the Mochin of Bina and Gevura of Aba and of Ima come inside the Nukva and enlarge her back to back. Thus even at the time of the emergence of the Mochin from ZA, the Mochin are still found in the interchange, in which the Bina and Gevura of Aba are found inside the NHY of Ima. And in the same way the Hochma and Hesed of Ima are found inside the NHY of Aba. For this is why he emphasises there, “and the Mochin of Bina and Gevura of Aba and Ima alone come inside the Nukva, and she is entirely enlarged” — thus the Hochma and Hesed of Ima remain in the NHY of Aba. And apart from this, it has been explained above that only at the time when AVI clothe the HGT of AA. then there are MA and BON in Aba, that is, Keter and Hochma of MA together with the VAK of Hochma of BON, and likewise MA and BON in Ima, which are the Bina of MA and the bottom Hey of the Bina of BON. However, at the time when AVI receive the level of AB and become one Partzuf, then Aba is entirely MA and Ima is entirely BON. As above (in this part, item 140). And since these NHY of Ima come from AVI of AB, as above, it is necessarily so that Ima is entirely BON, that is, the Bina and Gevura of Aba and the Bina and Gevura of Ima. And likewise it is known from the words of the ARI in several places that the Mochin of back to back are only BON and not MA at all.
