- Know that those spirits (Ruchin) mentioned in the seven palaces (Heichalot) of Parashat Pekudei, where in each and every palace there is one spirit — they are in the aspect of the spirits that are in Beria. And there is also an aspect of souls (Nefashin) and an aspect of garments, and likewise in Yetzira and Assiya. However, those in Parashat Pekudei are the aspect of the spirits of Beria. And see Parashat Mishpatim, page 23, side B, and page 40. And all the above is in the matter of the Nukva of ZA of ABYA. And just as all these aspects exist in the Nukva of ZA, so do all these aspects exist in Arich Anpin, in Aba and Ima, and in ZA, for they spread through the four worlds ABYA in the manner that was explained with regard to the Nukva. However, I was not worthy to hear but the aspect of ZON alone.

However, one must understand when these Partzufim of the posterior of AA, Aba, Ima, and ZA descended into the worlds of BYA, for the whole descent of the posterior of the Nukva was by reason of her complaint that it is impossible for two kings to use one Keter, as above; and this matter was said only of the Nukva of Atzilut alone, and not of AA, Aba, Ima, and ZA of Atzilut. And if so, why were they too diminished, to descend to BYA?
And the matter is that there are two discernments of Mochin in Atzilut. The first is fixed Mochin, in which no change ever occurs, and these are the level of AB of MA in AA, and SAG of MA in AVI and YESHSUT, and ZA in VAK [six ends] and the Nukva in a point; and they are regarded as the principal self of the Partzufim of Atzilut. As written on page 603, the passage beginning “Taamim, Nekudot, Tagin and letters.” See there. And the second discernment is the Mochin that are not principal in Atzilut but come in the secret of addition, namely all the Mochin that are above the fixed Mochin mentioned above. And these always come by way of ascent and descent: when the lower ones improve their deeds and raise MAN [Mayin Nukvin], they then cause additions of Mochin in all the Partzufim of Atzilut; and when they corrupt their deeds, they then cause the falling back of the Mochin, namely exactly that whole measure that was added through their deeds. As written there.
And it is found that these Mochin of the building of the Nukva on the fourth day of the act of creation, namely until she was at an equal level with ZA, in his posterior, are already reckoned as Mochin of additions, in which the matter of ascent and descent applies. And although man did not yet exist — rather, they came out in the secret of the upper will — nevertheless they are not principal in the Partzuf, for the principal part of ZA is only from the discernment of VAK and a point, and everything beyond this is already in the secret of additions. And it is found that at the time when the Nukva was built in these three Partzufim IYM of the posterior, it is necessary that this whole structure first came out in all the Partzufim above her. As written in Beit Sha’ar HaKavanot, item 146, the passage beginning “And the reason.” See there. And therefore, at the time of the diminution of the Nukva and her descent to Beria, she thereby caused all these Partzufim of the posterior, which came out on her account in AA, AVI, and ZA, to fall as well from their place and descend to BYA. For in all of them it is only Mochin of addition that were drawn by means of the lower one among them, which is the Nukva; and since it fell from the Nukva, they fell also from those above her, as written there and in many places. And then the Partzuf of the posterior of each one of them descended to the discernment opposite it in BYA; and the Partzuf of the posterior of AA descended to the AA of BYA: the Mochin to the AA of Beria, and the nursing to the AA of Yetzira, and the Ibur to the AA of Assiya. And likewise AVI and ZA, each one to the discernment opposite it — so that everything that happened to the Nukva of ZA at the time of her descent to BYA happened exactly in all its ways also in the upper Partzufim, in the same measure of the Mochin of additions that came out there on her account, and they descended and were clothed in the discernment opposite her in BYA.
