And the externality of the worlds is bodies and vessels. For the vessels of Assiyah, etc., and from their coupling are made the vessels of the Nefashot, and they are the Ofanim, and are called the vessels of the Nefashot. And from the vessels of Yetzirah, which has in it the five above-mentioned aspects in the aspect of vessels — and they are the vessels of Malchut, the vessels of ZA, and the vessels of Bina, etc. — from their coupling are made the angels of Yetzirah, and all of them are called the vessels of the Ruchin, as it is written, 'He makes His angels spirits.'

And in this way, in all the worlds, from the couplings of the inner vessels of the Sefirot, called here self, souls come out; and from the couplings of the external vessels of the Sefirot come out the externality of the worlds, called angels, Serafim, Hayot, and Ofanim, and firmaments and palaces and lands, etc.; for this is the rule: every discernment comes out from the discernment opposite it. And therefore the internality of the worlds, which are the souls of human beings alone, comes out from the internality of the Sefirot. And the externality of the worlds, namely everything that is in the worlds except the souls of human beings, which are the firmaments, palaces, etc., comes out from the externality of the Sefirot.
