And let us now explain the existence of AVI [Aba ve Ima]. It is that, as explained above, although AVI at times divide into four Partzufim, now, for the purpose of this coupling, they joined and became only two Partzufim. And now there are found three discernments in Ima. The first is the discernment of the Yesod of the upper Bina, in that she divides into two Partzufim, Bina and Tevuna. The second is the discernment of the Yesod of Tevuna, in that she separates from Bina as mentioned. The third is the place of the cut between the legs of Bina and the head of Tevuna, in that she divides as mentioned.
