However, in the Mincha (afternoon) prayer, it is the coupling of Israel with Leah, from the chest and above, and one need not read the Shema. And the matter is that in the morning we have already recited the Shema and drew the upper Mochin; and even though they depart after the prayer, nevertheless it is known that the measure of the day is Chesed and the measure of the night is Gevura. Therefore, on the day, which is Chesed, and the external forces do not rule in it so much, because it is day and Chesed prevails in the world, therefore when the time of the Mincha prayer comes, one need not read the Shema and unite the upper union, for the Mochin return and come then by themselves.
