Now the four locks of the back of the head are drawn together with the four whitenesses of the back of the head, as above, and they extend over the nape of Arich Anpin, and pour down upon the head of Zeir Anpin in the secret of the dew, as it is written, "For my head is filled with dew." And they are not drawn through the ears, because the hair is absent over the ears of Arich Anpin, as is said, "Incline your ear and hear...", as mentioned in Idra Rabba and Idra Zuta, and also in Tikkun 70, page 122. Therefore they cover only the nape alone.
