Yet the two lower segments of Hesed and Gevura of Arich Anpin, which are the aspect of the arms joined to the two shoulders, remained for the portion of ZA and become a soul for him; and these are called the two coronets. And these descended below, and both were formed in the secret of the third brain of Daat of ZA, comprising Hesed and Gevura, which are the two segments mentioned. And since the two coronets are from the two lower segments, while the Hochma and Bina within him were drawn from the two upper segments, therefore the place of Daat is beneath Hochma and Bina.

And know that the whole difference between the discernment of the inheritance [Achsanta] and the two crowns is in the matter of the illumination of Hochma that is in the Tifferet, which is called the sun: for in the discernment of the inheritance it illuminates without any sheath at all, and its light is very great; this is not so in the discernment of the two crowns that ZA takes, where the Tifferet is already clothed in its sheath, which is the discernment of the narrowness that is in the Yesod, and the illumination of the Tifferet is diminished, in the discernment of a path for one to pass through it. And we have already expanded much on this matter above, page 1539, the passage beginning “And with this.” Study it there well, the entire continuation, for it is all necessary to remember here. And therefore only in the discernment of the Rosh [head] of AVI does the discernment of the illumination of Hochma illuminate in all its completeness; but the HGT of AVI, which must receive the Mochin of the Rosh by way of their Yesodot that are in the Peh [mouth] — there the Tifferet equalises its illumination to the measure of the Yesodot, which is restricted within them. See there.
And this is what he says, “the two lower joints of Hesed and Gevura of Arich Anpin, and these are called the two crowns, and these descended below, etc., to the Daat of ZA”: for from the upper thirds of Hesed and Gevura, which rose and became the Rosh of AA, where AVI rose, there is drawn from them only a single drop from the Yesodot that are in the Peh; and this drop is the secret of the illumination of Hochma of AVI, restricted in the screens of their Yesodot that are in the Peh. And therefore there reaches ZA from there only an illumination alone, and not the self; for this illumination of Hochma cannot illuminate in ZA except in the measure of the narrowness that is in the Yesod, as is written there. However, the measure of the two crowns themselves, which are the discernment of the Tifferet and Yesod that are in the lower thirds of HG, which are already the discernment of the HGT of AVI and not the GAR [first three] that is above the screens — these ZA is able to receive just as they are. So that these Mochin of AB that ZA receives are divided into GAR and ZAT, a complete level of ten Sefirot. However, the GAR, which are the illumination of HB, are reckoned as very restricted because of their passage by way of the Yesodot that are in the Peh; while the ZAT within them, which are the discernment of Hassadim, he receives from the two crowns themselves, and they reach him in all their completeness, just as they are in the HGT of AVI, which are the lower third of Hesed and the lower third of Gevura, that are reckoned as the HGT of AVI, which are the two shoulders of AA. For the shoulders are the lower thirds of the arms.
