And being there, they are called only two Mochin. And the reason of the matter is that the coronet of Hesed in Daat, all of it was taken by ZA for himself, and that small amount that remained remained in the Yesod of ZA; and there remained in her only two Mochin, in this manner: the brain of Hochma within her is clothed in the Netzah of ZA, in the right cavity of the skull; and the brain of Bina, with the coronet of Gevura, is clothed in the Hod of ZA, on the left line.

1Only two Mochin, etc.; the brain of Hochma within her is clothed in the Netzah of ZA, etc.; and the brain of Bina, with the Atara of Gevura, is clothed in the Hod of ZA, etc.; the Yesod of ZA too enters into her in the secret of the brain of Daat, except that there is in it only the Atara of Gevura alone, for the discernment of the Hesed in it is a very small thing. This has already been explained, that all that she has from the discernment of the self is only the Atara [crown] of Gevura, whereas the three Mochin, HB and Hesed, come to her by way of illumination and not self. See there. And as for the ARI’s counting the Atara of Gevura in two places — for he counts her in the left line and also in the middle line — this is because the existence of the Gevurot is always in the left line. However, the discernment of the coupling in them is in the middle line, which is called Daat. But since the principal self in the Daat is the Atara of Gevura, therefore the Daat descends from there into the Guf [body], between the heads of her shoulders, that is, likewise in the middle line alone, as the ARI writes below; for everything that comes by way of coupling is regarded as the middle line. And the matter of the expansion of those Gevurot in the Guf will be explained in its place, God willing.
