- Now there is no distance among any of the above lights and their vessels that is more than three degrees. This is because more than three degrees are a complete distance and it cannot shine in it. However, the rest of the lights descended from their place, as well, except for Tifferet, which remained in its place and did not descend. You find, that undoubtedly, though we have clarified that the descent of the other lights from their place was for the needs of the vessels, to shine for them, still, being below their place, their force was slightly weakened. For this reason, they do not have the strength to rise up. But the light Tifferet, which stood in its place and its taste did not change, and its power is strong. Hence, when it sees itself without a vessel, it can rise to the place that it came from because it has no wish to stay bare, disclosed without a garment, and will return to Bina, to the place where it first stood. If it does that, it will be very distant from its vessel and will die completely.
