This is the meaning of the verse, "Keep me from the hands of the Pach [snare] they have laid for me." For I have informed you, in the portion Bereshit, that MAD [Mayin Duchrin, male waters] are the male name of Mem-Bet [forty-two]: the simple HaVaYaH, its filling, and the filling of the filling, which are forty-two letters. And no drop descends from above without two female drops rising from below; and they are two names of Mem-Bet, which in Gematria are PaD [84]. They are the discernments of the MAN [Mayin Nukvin], and they are placed within the mentioned Dalet [door] and hinge, which are made from the upper hands. Now, Dalet [4] and PaD [84] are PaCh [88], made from the upper hands; and when the Klipot [shells] grasp them, they are called "the hands of the Pach." And this is, "Keep me from the hands of the Pach they have laid for me."
