And afterwards, by day, there is the upper coupling of Aba and Ima, and the lower coupling of ZON, and both are in the secret of the second intercourse, to conceive and procreate; for in the reading of the Shema then is the coupling of Aba and Ima, as is known, and in the morning prayer, at "Who makes peace" (Sim Shalom), then is the coupling of ZON. And likewise at night, the Shema that we recite upon the bed is for the sake of the coupling of Aba and Ima, in the secret of the first intercourse, to make her a vessel; and after midnight until morning, then is the coupling of ZON.
