And the explanation of this is as was said above: the Netzah and Hod of Atik became clothed in the two corrections of the head of Arich Anpin, since they have two aspects, namely the ears and the eyes. And there is a bare place, without hairs, and the light rises in the secret of the returning light (Or Hozer), from below upward. Then, as it rises, it strikes the membrane (Kruma) of the Avira that covers the brain; for the root of the hairs issues from the excess of the brain, and as they pass through the membrane of the Avira, which is Tifferet, called Vav, as above, then, since they pass through there, they are made into the form of hooks (Vavim) — that is, the hairs have the form of Vavs. Thus it is found that there are two aspects to these lights: the first, when they are below, issuing from their place until they reach the membrane, and they were not yet in the form of hooks that are the hairs, but only white and white-colored lights; and the second, after they rise through the membrane, when they are made into Vavs, which are the hairs.
