And therefore here too one must discern the discernment of the Atara of Gevura that is included in the Yesod of Ima itself, which is the discernment of the Atara of Gevura that is included in the male himself. And besides this, one must discern the discernment of the female herself, who is there in the Mochin; for the Atara of Gevura is the discernment of the female, as above in the adjacent item, only that she is included also in the Yesod. And this is why the male first couples upon the Atara of Gevura that is included in his own Yesod, and afterwards he couples with the distinct Atara of Gevura, which is the discernment of the female. As written above in the words of the ARI, concerning Joseph and Benjamin, at length. See there.
And this is what he says here: “the Malchut of Ima, which is below the Yesod of Ima, she too entered within him” — that is, the discernment of the true Atara of Gevura, who is the discernment of the female herself, called by the name Malchut; behold, she too entered into him together with the NHY of Ima. And therefore he hints of her that she is below the Yesod, meaning, not that Atara of Gevura which is included in the Yesod, but the true Atara of Gevura, which is reckoned as a discernment separate from the Yesod, and she is below the Yesod. And this is what he says: “and she is there attached to the Daat of ZA, but she is not included in his Mochin” — that is, as above, that at first the coupling is made in the discernment of the Atara of Gevura that is included in the male himself, and she is the Atara of Gevura of the Mochin of ZA; but upon the true Atara of Gevura, who is the discernment of his Nukva, the coupling is made afterwards. And this is what he says, that this Malchut is the discernment of the upper Nukva of ZA — that is, as explained, that she is the discernment of the true Atara of Gevura, who is reckoned as the Nukva of ZA, and not the discernment of the Atara of Gevura of his own discernment.
