And afterward the three worlds Beriah, Yetzirah, Assiyah were corrected, and still all the Klipot were without any correction at all. However, the Klipot were still in the manner that holiness was at first, before the correction. And then ZA and the Nukva of the Klipa of Atzilut were six lights in the male alone, in the secret of VAK, and only one light, the seventh, in the Nukva, like the aspect of ZA and the Nukva of holiness when they are back-to-back. And this is the matter of that minute illumination that is within the impurity, mentioned in Parashat Yitro, in the Sitrei Torah.

1ZA and the Nukva of the shell of Atzilut were six lights in the male alone, in the secret of VAK, and one light, the seventh, in the Nukva. That is, before the sin of Adam HaRishon, for then all the worlds were in the discernment of Atzilut, that is, in the third discernment of the eve of Shabbat at twilight, as above (page 1940, the passage beginning “Internality.” See there the whole continuation). And it was explained there that although they rose to Atzilut from all of BYA, nevertheless the worlds were still lacking, for ZA lacked Haya and Yechida of Yechida, and he had in him only Neshama of Yechida, and likewise the Nukva was lacking the discernment of her own Malchut (See there on page 1945, the passage beginning “And this is what he says”). So even then, not all the kings that fell in the breaking of the vessels had yet been sorted. And behold, the remainders of the kings that remained then are the discernment of the VAK of the male of the shells and the point of his Nukva, which are regarded as the back to back of the ZON of the shells; and this is by reason of the hiding of the inner AVI that was made there, and likewise the hiding of the bottom Hey in Radla [the unknown head], because of which the shells too were blurred, and the ZA of the shell was lacking a Rosh [head], and the Nukva of the shell was lacking all her nine first ones. And they are regarded as shells of Atzilut, because all the worlds were then in the discernment of Atzilut. And with this you will understand the secret of what our sages said: “He castrated the male and cooled the female.” And likewise “another god was castrated and bears no fruit.”
