And behold, all the descent of the worlds to this degree takes place during the weekdays; but on the eve of Sabbath they begin to ascend. And they go up, degree after degree, until the afternoon prayer of the Sabbath, as is explained by us in its place. And the matter, in brief, is this: from the end of the fifth hour of the sixth day the worlds begin to rise, ascent after ascent, until it is found that, at the repetition of the additional prayer (Musaf) of the Sabbath day, the worlds are in the state they were in at the time Adam HaRishon was created — that being the first of the three aforementioned aspects — when the six lower [Sefirot] of Assiya are in the place where the six first [Sefirot] of Yetzira are during the weekdays. And the fourteen last Sefirot are found empty and vacant, being the four last [Sefirot] of Yetzira and the ten Sefirot of Assiya.
