And this is, ‘The Lord supports all who fall.’ For when this lower Tevuna descends from behind Bina and below, then ZA too descends below his place, and likewise the Nukva of ZA descends from her place, and then all of these are called ‘falling,’ since even in this Tevuna there is a hold for the external forces, as above, and they do not rise except through the upper Bina, called Samech, as above, since she supports them when they all rise upward, in the manner mentioned, that they be included one within the other, and Tevuna rises, being in the secret of the back of the upper Bina, called Samech, as above.

And we shall explain the matter of Bina and Tevuna in the names by which they are called. Know that from the back of the four upper [Sefirot] of Bina, the four upper [Sefirot] of Tevuna were made, in the discernment of her face; and from the back of the six extremities of the upper Bina, the six extremities were made in the discernment of the face of Tevuna.
